London Public Transportation - Oyster Card

Oyster Card

When my daughter arrived at Heathrow Airport, Terminal 5, we made our way to the Underground.  She handed me an electronic pass, an Oyster Card, to scan going through the turnstiles at the entrance of the Underground.

"Oyster is a plastic smartcard you can use instead of paper tickets.  You can put Travelcards, Bus and Tram season tickets and pay as you go credit on it.  "Oyster is the cheapest way to pay for single journeys on bus, Tube, tram, DLR, London Overground and most National Rail services in London."a direct quote from Transport for London website.
The transportation system in London is amazing.

We changed trains at Green Park station and again at Highbury and Islington station to change to the Overground.  We exited the system at Hackney Wick with a short walk to her apartment.  I finally stopped traveling.  I was in our London digs.
